Biography
Emmanuel is a local preacher who emerged as an important emotional and spiritual leader during the 2023 flood. His neighbourhood—including the church—was among the most severely affected. During the crisis, he provided comfort and guidance while also facing major disruptions in his own life.
Before the flood
He led church services and lived a calm, community-oriented life. His area had never experienced flooding to such an extent.
During the flood
His neighbourhood remained underwater for seven to eight months. The church flooded and attendance dropped dramatically. Despite this, he encouraged his congregation to stay hopeful, calling the disaster a moment of spiritual testing and collective resilience.
After the flood
He resumed pastoral work under difficult conditions, supporting members who had lost homes and livelihoods. Attendance slowly recovered, and he became a consistent source of encouragement.
